Today i.e. on 02.05.2025, a short while ago, Smt. Sakuntala Das, CDPO, Dashmantpur Block, Dist-Koraput has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance along with Smt. Minati Khosla, Anganwadi Worker of Adhamunda Anganwadi Centre, for demanding and taking bribe Rs.10,000/- from a newly appointed Anganwadi Helper in order to open her personal file and release her salary. The Anganwadi Helper had joined one and half months back in an Anganwadi Centre under Dashmantpur Block and was requesting Smt. Das, CDPO, the DDO to release her salary. But, Smt Das demanded bribe Rs.10,000/- to open her personal file and for release of her salary and asked her to pay the amount to her associate Minati Khosla working as Anganwadi Worker in the same Block. Finding no other means, complete approached before Vigilance authorities, following which Smt Das, CDPO was nabbed today while taking bribe Rs.10,000/- through Anganwadi Worker Smt Minati Khosla in the office of CDPO.
The entire bribe money has been recovered from them and seized.Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at three locations linked to Smt Das, CDPO, and one location of Smt Khosla, Anganwadi Worker from DA angle.
In this connection, Koraput Vigilance P.S Case No 18/2025 U/s-7PC Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against the 2 accused persons, namely Smt Das, CDPO, Dashmantpur, and Smt Khosla Anganwadi Worker.
