Rayagada (Odisha): Naleshrao becomes eligible for bonus by building a pucca house under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana(Antyodaya) within two months.
Naleshrao Mandangi and his wife Gutuli Mandangi, a tribal family of an interior village, have expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi for fulfilling their dream of living in a pucca house.
The government has launched the Antayodaya Gruha Yojana for the helpless poor and homeless. Under this scheme, a helpless poor person is fulfilling one’s own dream by building a pucca house. Nalesh Rao Mandangi, the father of a 2-year-old disabled son from Rugudubai, Ramnaguda block, has been deemed eligible for an additional bonus of Rs 45,000 by building a house within 2 months of receiving the work order.

Rayagada district administration extended its support for the successful implementation of the scheme. Beneficiaries will get an additional incentive of Rs 45,000 set by the government by building a house within the time limit. The Antyoday Gruha Yojana has a provision to provide Rs 1,20,000 to the beneficiaries in three installments as per the rules. Due to the timely cooperation of the Ramnaguda Block Administration and sincere help of the Panchayat Executive Officer, the father of the disabled beneficiary, Nalesh Rao, has succeeded in building a brick and mortar house within 2 months of receiving the work order, overcoming all the adverse circumstances.
Nalesh Rao Mandangi of Rugudubai village of Shundi Dhamuni Panchayat has built a house within 2 months. He has become a successful beneficiary in the district by building a house within the time limit. Malesh’s 2-year-old son Ranjit Mandangi is 60 percent disabled. As parents, they spend their days serving the disabled child. Both the parents were very much worried about not having their own house to live in. It was very difficult for them to build a pucca house. After getting information that the government was providing pucca houses for the disabled under the Antyayoday Gruha Yojana, he applied for a house. After verifying all the information, the Ramnaguda Block Administration gave a work order. After knowing that if the house is completed within 2 months of receiving the work order, he will get an additional Rs. 45,000 from the government, he became more enthusiastic and completed the house construction work within 2 months.
The beneficiary parents said that the construction work had been completely possible within the stipulated time due to the cooperation of the Ramnaguda BDO and block staff.
The BDO praised the dedicated efforts of the beneficiary Nalesh for completing the work within the time limit. He said that the bonus money will be paid very soon. The Block Administration is always ready to provide services to such beneficiaries. The priority is to reach the people with the benefits of all the government schemes. Therefore, the beneficiaries should make efforts to become successful beneficiaries of the scheme, said BDO Pradyumna Kumar Mandal. He said that Nalesh Rao will receive the bonus amount very soon.
